"19 June: Two slicks escorted by two gunships carried cargo from Kontum to Dak Sut (BY932516). As the aircraft entered the Dak Sut Valley (YB 915355) the lead aircraft came under intense automatic weapons fire. The lead aircraft was hit and caught fire on the left side, near the tail boom the aircraft entered autorotation. The tail boom separated from the aircraft at 300 feet above the ground and the aircraft hit the ground inverted and exploded on impact. No crew members survived." from 119 AHC history.
