Narrative
While on a practice combat assault over 75 foot trees, the aircraft suffered partial or complete loss of power. The tail boom struck trees and separated from the aircraft. The main cabin struck the ground in a nose low attitude and turned over and burned on impact. Engine failure was due to fatigue failure of one blade in the turbine wheel.
