Narrative
I was on this particular mission as a pilot with aircraft commander CW2 George Sweat and aircraft 095 (Chinook) was not lost or crashed. WO1 Lance Durant successfully flew the aircraft out of harm's way and we (Sweat and myself) escorted 095 back to Phu Bai airstrip where a medical team was waiting to take Hu to the hospital. The only damage to 095 was the right side cockpit widow was shot out - which was never repaired, and the right side seat cushions had to be replaced because of the inability to get the blood stains out.
